Replace expiry spreadsheets, paper leave forms and manual payroll sheets with one employee record that drives attendance, WPS payroll and end-of-service calculations.
An ERP for HR managers in the UAE puts contracts, salary structures, bank details and visa, Emirates ID and passport documents on one employee record that drives leave, attendance, WPS payroll and end-of-service gratuity. The monthly cycle locks attendance, approves leave and overtime, runs payroll, generates the MOHRE Wage Protection System SIF file and posts payroll to accounts.
An ERP for HR managers in the UAE has to handle work that HR teams in many other countries never see. A week might include renewing residence visas and Emirates IDs for a batch of employees, answering a MOHRE query, approving leave around a public holiday, correcting attendance for a site team, and preparing the Salary Information File for the Wage Protection System before the payroll cut-off.
In companies with 50 to 500 employees, this work is often split between a spreadsheet of document expiry dates, a biometric attendance device that exports CSV files, an Excel payroll sheet and a PRO who tracks government transactions separately. Errors appear where those files meet: a leave day not deducted, an allowance missed, a gratuity figure calculated on the wrong basic salary.
This page covers the HR manager's view across the employee lifecycle. For the software category itself, read our HR software UAE guide, and for the payroll engine in depth see HR and payroll software.

These are the problems HR managers describe most often when we start an HR and payroll project.
Visa, Emirates ID, passport and labor card dates sit in a spreadsheet that one person maintains. Missed renewals lead to fines and employees who cannot travel or be paid properly.
Annual leave accrual, carry-forward, sick leave and unpaid leave are tracked by hand. Employees dispute balances and payroll deducts the wrong days.
Biometric devices record punches, but overtime and absences are re-keyed into the payroll sheet each month, with errors and delays.
The SIF file is built in Excel from the payroll sheet. A wrong bank routing code or employee ID causes rejected salary transfers and unhappy staff.
End-of-service calculations depend on basic wage, service length and unpaid leave. Manual calculations create disputes at the moment the relationship is most sensitive.
Management asks for headcount, cost by department or nationality mix, and HR rebuilds the numbers from scratch every time.

An HR view built from employee records, attendance and payroll. Our HR dashboard page covers the full set of metrics.
Each feature removes a manual handover between HR, payroll and finance.
Contract, salary structure, bank details and scanned documents with expiry dates, all on one record with alerts to HR and the PRO.
Leave types, accrual and carry-forward rules configured once. Employees apply on mobile and managers approve in the system. See leave management.
Punches from biometric devices or mobile check-in become worked hours, overtime and absences that flow straight into payroll.
Salary components, deductions and allowances calculated per employee, with the SIF file generated for your bank or exchange house. See WPS payroll.
End-of-service benefits calculated from basic wage and service under the UAE Labour Law rules, with leave encashment and deductions on one settlement.
Headcount, turnover, cost by department and overtime trends without rebuilding spreadsheets. See HR analytics.
This is the most time-critical recurring process for a UAE HR manager. With an ERP, each step uses data already captured, and only exceptions need attention.
One shared database: every step updates stock, finance and reports in real time.
We configure the system to support these rules. Confirm interpretation with your legal or HR advisor.
Salaries for MOHRE-registered employees are paid through approved banks or agents using a Salary Information File. The ERP generates the file in the format your bank or exchange house requires.
Under Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021, gratuity is 21 days' basic wage per year for the first five years and 30 days per year after, capped at two years' wage. The ERP applies this to each employee's basic salary and service.
Payroll journals post to the general ledger by department or project, supporting corporate tax records and audit. Tax records are generally kept for at least five years.

Most UAE payroll setups we implement generate the SIF file from the payroll run, using the employer and employee IDs and bank routing codes in the system. The exact format can vary by bank or exchange house, so we test the file with your agent before go-live.
The system uses each employee's basic wage, joining date and any unpaid leave to compute service and applies the Labour Law formula. HR reviews the figure on the final settlement before approval.
Yes. Self-service apps on all four platforms let employees request leave, see balances and download payslips, which cuts routine HR queries.
Many devices export logs or offer an API. We set up a scheduled import or connector so punches arrive in the ERP daily and become attendance records.
Yes. Line managers approve leave, project teams log timesheets, and finance receives payroll journals. Our pages for finance managers and operations roles show the other side of those handovers.
It depends on headcount, number of entities and data quality. A focused HR and payroll rollout often runs over several weeks, including at least one parallel payroll run to compare results.
