Which systems should a UAE company integrate with its ERP?

UAE companies usually integrate their ERP with online stores such as Shopify and WooCommerce, marketplaces like Amazon.ae and Noon, bank accounts, payment gateways, WhatsApp, Power BI and warehouse hardware. The goal is to stop staff re-typing orders, payments and stock counts. Start with the link that causes the most manual work, often order sync or bank reconciliation, then add messaging and BI.

  • Integration guides cover Zoho, Odoo and ERPNext separately, plus generic guides for any ERP.
  • Each guide lists sync direction, triggers and VAT considerations for the data that moves.
  • Decide which system owns customers, items, prices and tax codes before the first sync.
  • Every integration needs monitoring and an error queue because store and bank APIs change.

How to use this ERP integrations library

Most UAE companies do not run on one system. A typical trading business in Deira or Jebel Ali has a Shopify or WooCommerce store, a seller account on Amazon.ae or Noon, two or three bank accounts with Emirates NBD, ADCB or Mashreq, a card gateway, WhatsApp for customer conversations and Excel for management reporting. ERP integrations UAE businesses need are the links that stop staff from re-typing orders, payments and stock counts between these systems.

This section collects our integration guides in one place. Each page covers a single connection: what data moves, in which direction, how often, which connector or API does the work, and what goes wrong when it is missing. Generic pages explain the integration for any ERP; platform pages describe only Zoho, Odoo or ERPNext so you can see what exists for the system you have or are about to choose. For the overall service, see our ERP integration services.

Start with the integration that causes the most manual work today. In our experience that is usually order sync from an online channel, bank reconciliation or VAT-correct invoice data flowing from CRM into accounting. Fix that first, then add messaging, BI and hardware integrations once the core data is reliable.

Integration work also has a maintenance side. Shopify, Amazon and bank APIs change, new SKUs appear and payment methods are added, so every integration needs monitoring, an error queue and someone who checks it. Each guide in this section explains what to monitor after go-live so the connection keeps working once the project team has moved on.

Sub-topics

Six groups of ERP integrations

The guides in this section fall into six groups. Pick the group that matches your bottleneck.

Online stores and marketplaces

Order, stock and price sync between your ERP and Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon.ae and Noon. Start with ERP Shopify integration or the broader ecommerce integration guide.

Banks and payment gateways

Statement feeds, payment files and gateway settlements that drive reconciliation. Read ERP bank integration and payment gateway integration for the reconciliation logic.

Messaging and calling

Order confirmations, payment reminders and call logging against customer records. See ERP WhatsApp integration, SMS and telephony integration.

Reporting and productivity

Power BI, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Outlook links that put ERP data into reports, calendars and inboxes. ERP Power BI integration is the most requested.

Warehouse, POS and hardware

Barcode scanners, RFID readers, POS terminals and third-party WMS software. Start with barcode integration or ERP WMS integration if a 3PL runs your warehouse.

Platform-specific connectors

Zoho, Odoo and ERPNext each have their own apps, connectors and APIs. Our Zoho integration, Odoo integration and ERPNext integration pages give the platform overview.

These checks apply to every guide in this section and save rework later.

  • Decide which system owns each master record: customers, items, prices and tax codes
  • Clean duplicate SKUs and customer records before the first sync
  • Confirm that the connector or API exists for your exact edition and hosting
  • Agree the sync frequency per data type: real time, hourly or daily
  • Define what happens on a failed sync and who receives the alert
  • Check VAT treatment on synced invoices, especially shipping, discounts and zero-rated exports
  • Plan for structured invoice data needed for UAE e-invoicing
  • Test with real UAE transactions, including Arabic customer names and AED rounding

FAQs

ERP integrations in the UAE: common questions

Still have a question? Our consultants are happy to help.

Ask an Expert
Should we use a ready-made connector or build a custom API integration?

Use a maintained connector when it covers your data flow and volume, because the vendor handles API changes. Build a custom integration through the REST API or middleware when you need special logic, such as marketplace fee posting or multi-warehouse allocation. Many UAE projects combine both.

Which ERP platforms do these guides cover?

Generic guides apply to any ERP. Platform pages cover Zoho, Odoo and ERPNext, which we implement alongside Microsoft Dynamics 365 and custom ERP. If you run Dynamics 365, our Dynamics 365 integration page is the starting point.

How long does a typical ERP integration take?

A standard connector setup with mapping and testing often takes one to three weeks. Custom API work with error handling and reconciliation usually takes longer, depending on the number of data objects and the quality of the source system's API.

Do integrations affect VAT or e-invoicing compliance?

Yes. Invoices created from synced orders must still carry the correct TRN, tax codes and prescribed fields, and from 2027 many businesses will need structured invoice data sent through an Accredited Service Provider. Design integrations so the ERP remains the single source of tax invoices, and confirm treatment with your tax advisor.

Can you support integrations after go-live?

Yes. We monitor sync logs, fix mapping errors when a store or marketplace changes its catalog, and update connectors when APIs change. Support covers Zoho, Odoo, ERPNext and Dynamics 365 integrations.
