Dynamics 365 and NetSuite are both cloud ERPs from very large vendors. For UAE finance leaders the choice usually turns on Microsoft integration, scale path and where data lives.
Comparing Dynamics 365 and NetSuite in the UAE starts with the right pair: mid-sized companies usually weigh Dynamics 365 Business Central against NetSuite, while complex multi-country groups weigh Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management against NetSuite OneWorld. Dynamics 365 offers Microsoft 365 integration and Azure regions in the UAE; NetSuite has a strong reputation for multi-subsidiary consolidation.
The Dynamics 365 vs NetSuite UAE decision is less straightforward than it looks, because Dynamics 365 is not one product. Microsoft offers Dynamics 365 Business Central for small and mid-sized companies and Dynamics 365 Finance with Supply Chain Management for larger and more complex organizations. Oracle NetSuite is one platform that scales through editions and modules, with OneWorld for multi-subsidiary groups.
So the first job is to compare the right pair. A UAE distributor with 60 users is usually weighing Business Central against NetSuite. A regional group with manufacturing in several countries and hundreds of users is usually weighing Dynamics 365 Finance and SCM against NetSuite. The trade-offs differ in each case, and this page covers both.
We are a Microsoft Partner for Dynamics 365 and do not implement NetSuite. Our view is shaped by Dynamics 365 implementation work in the UAE. We have tried to give NetSuite fair credit, particularly on consolidation and fast multi-subsidiary rollouts, where it has a strong reputation.

A side-by-side summary. Feature availability depends on license tier, region and add-ons, so verify current details with each vendor.

| Hosting | Microsoft Azure; Microsoft runs cloud regions in the UAE | Oracle-hosted SaaS; confirm data center location for your account |

| Low-code and automation | Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI | SuiteFlow workflows, SuiteBuilder and SuiteScript |
| Multi-entity and consolidation | Multi-company in BC; legal entities and consolidation in Finance | OneWorld consolidation and intercompany eliminations |

In final-round workshops, these issues usually decide the outcome.
Government-linked and regulated customers sometimes prefer data hosted in the UAE. Ask both vendors for the hosting region of your environment, backup location and any contractual commitments.
Companies running on Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID) and Teams get single sign-on, Excel add-ins and Teams approvals with Dynamics 365 with less integration work.
NetSuite OneWorld is widely praised for multi-subsidiary consolidation. Dynamics 365 Finance handles complex legal entity structures well too, while Business Central suits simpler groups.
Asset-heavy, manufacturing or multi-warehouse businesses often find Dynamics 365 SCM deeper on planning and warehousing. Service and distribution firms may find NetSuite's scope sufficient.
Power Apps and Power Automate let business analysts build forms and flows around the ERP. NetSuite customization is powerful but more developer-centered through SuiteScript.
If the company is standardizing on Power BI across departments, Dynamics 365 slots in directly. NetSuite data can reach Power BI too, usually via connectors or a data warehouse.
How the decision tends to play out for common UAE company types.
| Choose Dynamics 365 if... | Choose NetSuite if... | |
|---|---|---|
| Abu Dhabi group with government clients | You want UAE-hosted Microsoft cloud and Microsoft 365 identity | Hosting location requirements are flexible and finance speed matters more |
| Manufacturer with plants in UAE and KSA | Production planning, quality and warehousing need enterprise depth | Manufacturing is light assembly and consolidation is the main pain |
| Professional services group | Projects, timesheets and Teams collaboration matter | Services resource planning and project accounting through NetSuite modules suit you |
| Fast-growing tech company | You already run Azure and Power BI | Your board and investors know NetSuite and want a finance-first platform |
| Distributor with 30 to 150 users | Business Central covers the scope with Microsoft 365 fit | Several overseas subsidiaries need fast, standard consolidation |
Both platforms are used by UAE companies; the details depend on localization and setup. Confirm tax treatment with your tax advisor.
Check 5% standard, zero-rated, exempt, reverse charge and designated zone scenarios, plus bilingual tax invoices with TRN. Ask how the VAT return boxes are mapped for EmaraTax filing.
The FTA publishes a Tax Accounting Software Register. Check the current register yourself for the exact product and version, and ask each vendor how an FTA Audit File is generated.
With 9% tax above AED 375,000 of taxable income, groups need clean legal entity, intercompany and dimension structures. Free zone entities should separate qualifying from non-qualifying income.
Invoices must flow through Accredited Service Providers in PINT AE format from 1 January 2027 for revenue of AED 50 million or more and 1 July 2027 for others. Large groups should start ASP selection early and check the latest MoF and FTA guidance.
