Magento stores in the UAE tend to be big: thousands of SKUs, English and Arabic store views, several warehouses. We connect Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce to Odoo without losing that structure.
Odoo has no standard Magento connector, so UAE retailers integrate Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce with Odoo through a third-party Odoo Apps Store connector, a community framework or a custom build on Magento's REST and GraphQL APIs. The mapping must cover websites and English-Arabic store views, configurable and bundle products as Odoo variants and kits, Multi-Source Inventory sources as Odoo warehouses, and customer group pricing.
An Odoo Magento integration in the UAE is usually requested by retailers and distributors who chose Magento years ago for a large catalogue and now want a proper ERP behind it. Typical examples are electronics and home appliance sellers, auto spare-parts traders and multi-brand fashion retailers with a UAE store view, a KSA store view and both English and Arabic content. The storefront is mature and expensive to replace; what is missing is purchasing, landed cost, warehouse control and VAT-ready accounting.
Magento 2 (Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce) exposes REST and GraphQL APIs, and integrations normally combine an extension or API user on the Magento side with an Odoo module that maps the data. Odoo has no Magento connector in its standard apps, so the options are third-party connectors on the Odoo Apps Store, community connector frameworks (check maintenance status for your Odoo version), middleware, or a custom build. Magento 1 reached end of life in 2020; if you are still on it, the integration conversation is really a replatforming one. We handle both as part of our Odoo integration practice.
Smaller catalogues with fewer store views are often better served by Shopify with Odoo or WooCommerce with Odoo. For the platform-neutral angle, see our ERP Magento integration page.

Magento's flexibility creates mapping work that simpler storefronts do not have.
One Magento installation can hold a UAE website and a KSA website, each with English and Arabic store views and different prices. A connector that only reads the default store view loses half the business.
Magento builds a configurable product from simple child products, and bundles from components. Odoo needs to know whether to treat each as a variant, a kit or a separate item, or stock goes wrong.
Magento's MSI can hold stock per source, such as a Jebel Ali warehouse and a Sharjah store. If Odoo pushes one total, Magento's source selection cannot route orders correctly.
Years of extensions for checkout, loyalty and shipping add fields and order states. Integrations break after Magento upgrades when those changes are not documented.
Trade customers see group or tier prices in Magento, while finance maintains pricelists in Odoo. Without a single owner, the invoice price and the web price disagree.
A typical flow for a multi-website Magento store with two Odoo warehouses.
One shared database: every step updates stock, finance and reports in real time.
We document every field in a mapping sheet; this is the summary.
| Data | Direction | Trigger / frequency | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Simple, configurable and bundle products | Odoo to Magento (or initial import from Magento) | On change or scheduled | Configurable children map to Odoo variants; bundles to kits |
| Attributes and attribute sets | Agreed owner, usually Magento | One-time plus on change | Odoo stores only the attributes needed for purchasing and stock |
| Prices per website | Odoo to Magento | On pricelist change | One Odoo pricelist per website or currency; UAE prices VAT-inclusive |
| Customer group and tier prices | Odoo to Magento | On change | Mapped to Odoo pricelists assigned to trade customers |
| Stock per source | Odoo to Magento | Every few minutes | Each MSI source mapped to an Odoo warehouse or location |
| Orders | Magento to Odoo | Scheduled import or event-based | Carries website, store view, source and payment method |
| Shipments and tracking | Odoo to Magento | When delivery is validated | Creates the Magento shipment so the customer is notified |
| Credit memos and returns | Magento to Odoo | Scheduled | Become Odoo credit notes and return receipts |
| Customers and addresses | Magento to Odoo | With orders or scheduled | B2B accounts keep TRN and payment terms in Odoo |
Availability and maintenance differ by Magento and Odoo version, so we verify before recommending.
Larger catalogues often need 6-12 weeks, including data cleanup and parallel running.
We review websites, store views, attribute sets, product types and installed extensions, and decide what Odoo must own.
Configurable, bundle and grouped products are mapped to Odoo variants, kits or separate items, with SKU rules both systems will follow.
Each MSI source is linked to an Odoo warehouse, with rules for split shipments and click-and-collect.
We test with a realistic volume of orders and products, and document every custom field so Magento upgrades do not silently break the sync.
Both systems run side by side until stock, orders and revenue reconcile, then Odoo becomes the operational master.
Points we cover with Magento stores; confirm tax treatment with your tax advisor.
UAE sales carry 5% VAT; a KSA website has its own VAT rules and registration. Odoo needs separate fiscal positions and taxes per website, configured in Odoo Accounting.
Magento invoices are not a replacement for tax invoices with your TRN. Odoo issues the tax invoice and credit note and keeps the audit trail.
Large Magento customer databases hold years of personal data. Sync only what Odoo needs, restrict API users and document the flow under the UAE PDPL.
Trade customers buying through Magento will receive B2B invoices that fall under UAE e-invoicing via an Accredited Service Provider. Plan that from Odoo and check the latest MoF/FTA guidance.

Typical objectives; outcomes depend on catalogue quality and scope.
Magento routes orders using stock Odoo actually holds in each location.
Retail, trade and per-website prices are maintained once in Odoo.
A documented mapping means extensions and upgrades can be tested against the sync.
Web demand feeds Odoo reordering, so buyers order from real sales history.
We configure the system for the rules UAE businesses report against, and test it before go-live.

Ask an ExpertBoth share the Magento 2 API foundation, so the same integration approach applies. Adobe Commerce adds B2B features such as company accounts and negotiable quotes, which need extra mapping if you use them.
Technically sometimes, but Magento 1 has been out of support since 2020. We usually recommend replatforming, either to Magento 2 or to a lighter storefront, and connecting that to Odoo.
Sometimes. If your catalogue and store views are modest, Odoo's own website app can reduce the number of systems. See Odoo ecommerce integration. For very large or highly customized storefronts, keeping Magento is often the safer choice.
Yes. Once orders are in Odoo with website and store view, they can be reported in Power BI alongside purchasing and margin. See Odoo Power BI integration.
Gateway settlements are imported into Odoo, matched to orders and split into fees and net receipts. Our page on Odoo payment gateway integration covers this in detail.
